Another DUMB Republican President?

Please God, not another idiot GOP president.

In a tape transcript making press, Nixon refers to Fred Thompson as “dumb as hell”:

“Oh sh–, he’s dumb as hell. Fred Thompson,” Nixon interjects.

I hope that Americans are smart enough to identify stupidity (at last).

Columbus Day Comes and Goes With No Fanfare…Yet Again

If it weren’t for the fact that it was 9:02 AM and the post office was still showing no signs of opening, I wouldn’t have known it was Columbus Day.

With the exception of government services being closed and the occasional protest, does anyone really notice this holiday?

Here are some interesting facts about the day:

• The city of Berkley, California celebrates Indigenous People’s Day instead of Columbus Day.
• Hawaii does not officially honor Columbus day
• Columbus Day is not a legal holiday in Nevada, but it is a day of observance.
